I have a background in Pharma and ERP/SAP.

How do I best portray the two different backgrounds?

Hi Shyamal,

This resume was written using a completely different paradigm than the principles I'm used to seeing. I suspect that part of that is because the standards in India are a bit different than the U.S., but some core principles must be universal. Inevitably, my analysis has to be from a U.S. perspective.

I'll start with what I like. The visual aspects are excellent, so the resume is pleasant to the eye and easy to read.

The resume does not start with something that will keep them reading and does not emphasize what makes you great. It just says what you've done. You must start with a profile instead of an objective. You have to turn job duties into accomplishments (PARs and SARs). The organization of the sections should prioritize the info that the reader will find most insteresting. Also it's too long. There's enough redundant and unnecessary information in there to easily get it to no more tha two pages.

Before being able to analyze the resume in more detail, it should be rewritten with the principles taught on Resume Remodel in mind.
